Arden Andersen, D.O. is a family and occupational medicine physician. He is running for the position of Governor of Kansas. 

Dr. Andersen aspires to bring healing and improvement in the life of each Kansan. Aside from being a medical professional, he is also a vocational-agriculture expert and farm consultant who trains farmers on cultivating healthy and thriving fields. The author of five books, he also shares his knowledge as a public speaker and has spoken at international gatherings. He is also an Air Force Reserve Flight Surgeon and Chief of Missouri Aerospace Medicine.

In dealing with societal issues that need to be improved in Kansas, he suggests starting with an austere, yet adequate, state budget to rejuvenate jobs and economic growth. 

Dr. Andersen sees education as the foundation to stimulating the economy by providing better employability and better skills for people to start their own businesses if they desire. Small businesses are the primary employers, not corporate behemoths, and the state’s legislative policies must make it easiest for small businesses to start and succeed in Kansas. 

From the point of view of a medical professional, he is also promoting a more accessible healthcare system that will improve the quality and efficiency of care, streamline formularies as well as treatment and medication protocols, reduce middleman costs, secure coverage for all, and assure mental healthcare is available to everyone. As a physician, he is knowledgeable on how to accomplish these goals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Andersen gave his life to heal and improve the conditions of the people around him. As a leader, he is driven to make the best decisions that will prioritize the well-being of all Kansans.
