"I make life and death decisions every day. I will apply the same caring compassion and seriousness I use to make the best possible medical decisions for my patient, I will apply toward whatever it takes to heal Kansas." This quote from aspiring Kansas Governor Dr. Arden Andersen shows his dedication to improving the living conditions of the citizens in his state.

In all the prevalent issues in his home state, Dr. Andersen aspires to make a change that will contribute to a better Kansas for all Kansans. The gubernatorial candidate is a family and occupational medicine physician, president of his sub-specialty college, former vocational-agriculture teacher, farm consultant, Air Force Reserve Colonel, and Chief of Aerospace Medicine. He is also the author of five books, an international speaker, husband, father, stepfather, and step-grandfather.

An important part of Dr. Andersen’s platform is health care.  He believes that the government must improve the quality and efficiency of care, streamline formularies as well as treatment and medication protocols, reduce middleman costs, secure coverage for all, and assure mental healthcare is available to everyone.

He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Kansas Osteopathic Association. He served as the Conference Chairman, President of the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine. At present, he holds active medical licenses in Michigan and Kansas.

Some of his honors and awards include board certification in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners, board certification by the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine, and board eligibility in Occupational Medicine. He was also nominated for the Grand Rapids Magazine Medical Hall of Fame in November 2000.
